Sniper Paintball Guns

Woodsball, or paintball played tactically in a wooded area is becoming more popular. Outfitting your paintball gun to play woodsball requires a few upgrades, and if you choose the right upgrades, you can easily turn your traditional marker into a sniper gun.

Powerful Marker

The first element of a sniper paintball gun is to use a marker that is powerful and as accurate as possible right out of the box. You want your paintball gun to shoot consistently each time you fire and to fly true for long distances. Granted, in paintball, there are few guns that can shoot exactly on target without modifications.

Paintball Rifle Barrel

To turn your marker into a sniper paintball gun, you’ll need a rifle barrel. Attach an upper end rifle barrel to your gun. The longer the barrel, the more accurate the shot, in general. A rifled barrel will put a bit of spin on the paintball as it leaves the barrel keeping it on a truer course.

Paintball Scope

Scopes aren’t used heavily in most paintball games, but they are a must for snipers. To use a scope, you’ll want to avoid magnified scopes as your vision is impaired by your helmet. Instead, opt for a red dot scope that will let you put your target in your sights immediately. A red dot scope does not paint a red dot of any kind, the dot is purely within the scope.

Paintball Stock

Attaching a stock to your paintball gun will give it a serious look, but will also help reduce the fatigue of holding the gun in one position as well as improve the accuracy of your shot. Many paintball stocks either collapse or fold to the side of the gun when not in use.
